Forest School
Every pupil at Benhall receives two terms of Forest School sessions each year. Forest School is an innovative educational approach to outdoor play and learning. The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences. By participating in motivating and achievable tasks and activities in an outdoor environment each pupil has an opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation, emotional and social skills. Pupils learn about the natural environment, how to use tools, build dens and cook on a camp fire. They are encouraged to use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others. Most importantly they have a lot of fun too!
