Dear Parents,
We have had such a wonderful week in school despite the tiredness starting to set in!
The children are completing their first term and confidently share their new learning with each other and any visitors to school.
We continue to work on all areas of the school development plan and will be focusing very much on the teaching of writing as we move into next term. You may be wondering what this involves, so here are some of the things that will be happening.
Inset day - focused on reviewing and updating our curriculum sequence for writing.
Monitoring - I am excited about joining each class during their writing lessons.
Finally, here is what some of our children told Miss Bilton during a pupil conferencing session this term:
"We write in the outdoor area and we get the paper and pens from the trolley"
"We have been writing about AA Milne and he actually died of a stroke. We have found out lots of facts about him."
" In my class we had to write how to make Percy a sandwich and do you know we actually made the sandwich and got to have a bit of it."
"You are allowed to write in pen and sometimes Mrs Spence let’s us have really lovely gel pens."
"I like school and everything about it."
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Love from Miss Morris and the team
